Don't try to take your fun wedding party of 40 plus there. They will not waive cover and missed out on the $2,000 we spent at monks. Great job management! I hope your owners are proud!

The waitress was peppy (perhaps overly so), but the drinks were good (I had a hurricane). The food was decent... I got the jerk shrimp (delicious), but I was not a fan of the collard greens or the rice. The rice was bland and cold. I was in a party of 9 and everyone loved their entree (the ribs were good too) but everyone agreed about the rice. Finally, the bar is a joke. There is not much stocked and the staff is unfriendly and CIA-like. Dude, you work at a pseudo-carribean restaurant in the Dells, not the White House. The best part was the coconut bra I got from our waitress since it was my bachelorette party:)

The food isn't bad but doesn't make up for the service. Staff there just doesn't care and will avoid you at all costs. No smiles, long waits when they aren't even busy, and it get worse. I was in the Dells for a Bachelor party and decided to check out "The Reef." Or whatever they call their so called "club." The main door was blocked by this "bro" telling us we needed to go through the back entrance because the main was reserved for VIP and locals only. Fine, whatever so we walked around. Once inside it's like you're being processed for a prison camp. Scanned my ID took my picture, took $5 then told me I had to check my coat for another $5, Some guy yelling to keep moving. It's almost like they didn't want us to come in... Probably just a local bro bar anyway.. Save your money and just go to Monks across the street. Bartenders are pretty cool and they don't blow your eye drums out with some Dubstep noise everyone got sick of 3 years ago.

My boyfriend and I went to Wis Dells for a mini vacation and were pleasantly surprised by this gem! Kind of located in the middle of nowhere, they offer great options for everyone. Meat and seafood dishes with a Caribbean feel, Marley's is a great lunch spot. Some selections are a little pricey but you can find some great food for a good price if you're willing to try something a little different. Don't forget to do your homework before coming and find a discount! Check out the visitors center on Broadway in the downtown dells area for discount coupons to a variety of different places including this one!

Came here for a night of dancing, thinking it was a nightclub. Well, it wasn't. It was still fun, but we went on a weekend in June I think, and it was just dead. Disappointing. Songs were decent, drinks were great, but I wanted to dance :(

I go there once a year with the family! Their shark bites are great, and so is the atmosphere!

  • Howard B.

Comparing it to other places in the Dell's, not too bad. At least it deviates from the non-varying community menu of burgers, wraps, and cheese curds.

Tickle me pink an infect me with laughing hyena disease!! While renting a vacation home for the weekend at Wisconsin Dells we were alerted that one bar had a shuttle that would pick us up at our doorstep and take us to the bar and back. Boy were we in for a treat! The shuttle does tend to get a bit busy so we loaded up to the max in this shuttle and tipped the driver extra to make sure he'd get us back without having to wait an hour when beer o'clock was finally over. We made it to the club and got in line and I avoided paying cover by simply walking past the bouncers. Booze was cheap and plentiful much like the double digit bachelorette parties that were going on everywhere. We watched people mingle, some of us got our dance on and some of us chatted with the locals and other out of towners. The dance circles revealed weak dancing as one would expect from tourists and farm children. Outside on the patio people mingled and made new friends. We made new friends with bachelorettes but I had no interest in causing trouble. At the end of it all what happens in Wisconsin Dells STAYS in Wisconsin Dells, huzzah!!!

great place if you want to feel like you are away in the islands having a great meal, outdoor or inside!! also very kid friendly. we were there Friday for dinner & a great band started at 8 to add to our wonderful evening!! Never expected to get delicious grouper in the Dells, very pleasantly surprised!!!

  • Rebecca H.

It took a while to get our drink orders in but it was worth the wait. The Jamaican jerk chicken and pork was fall-apart-with-my-fork tender and the jammin fries were good. Can't go wrong with the reggae music either. It was fun although a bit loud, and the service was really slow.

This review is for the NEW Marleys location. I came here with my boyfriend after driving up and down the dells (no joke) until we finally settled on Marleys and drove back to where our search initially started. BEST choice! We weren't expecting much but we had big portions with 2-for-1 drinks for a decent rate. 2 big entrees, 1 appetizer, 4 drinks, and great service for $55! We'll be back for sure

  • Curt S.

came here for first time had the baked potato soup and 3 combo platter with grouper incredible! great live entertainment and free shuttles to and from hotel

    (5)
  • Nicole O.

We split the jerk combination platter (jerk pork, jerk chicken, greens, rice) and I thought it was very tasty. It was enough for 2 people to share as well. They also have a huge outdoor patio, which is nice. I would definitely go back if I were in the Dells again.

Last stop on our Dells adventure was lunch at Marley's. So here's the thing - this place has potential but just falls short. First up, my drink. This is a Carribean restaurant. I kind of expect my pina colada to taste like something more than ice. And I'm not just talking about liquor. My drink had no coconut flavor, no creaminess. Nothing. It was ice. I kindly explained my complaint and the server kind of got all weird about it. Ultimately, he did return with a proper drink so I suppose no harm, no foul. Next up was our appetizer of coconut shrimp. It was decent and made slightly above average by its unexpected strawberry yogart dipping sauce. For my entree, I went with their signature coconut chicken salad. The chicken was great and theoretically the salad was pretty good too. However, I wasn't a fan of the dressing. But I could see how others might really have enjoyed it. Our server was kind of a bonehead and was likely high. I know the place is Marleys but seriously? It is in Wisconsin, not Jamaica. The place itself is really run down. Everything is really dirty. And not like "sand blowing in off the beach" dirty but like un-managed midwestern dirt build up.

We had fun here and I really liked the outdoor area. Their Cool Breeze drink was 2-4-1 and was a great drink. However the major problem is their dance floor at the The Reef. It is a SERIOUS safety issue. It was so wet and slippery that my friends and I kept sliding around. I actually fell once and almost fell a second time. It really was ridiculously wet and slippery. They need a different floor or someone to come clean it up every once in a while. They probably won't do anything about it until someone slips, cracks their head open, and sues them. Be careful if you go to the Reef section of Marley's.

  • Michael O.

Marley's is good for drinks, but I think the food is average at best. We sat outside, which has a great view of the street. They had karaoke going on, which was amusing. We ordered an appetizer sampler that had crab dip, crab quesadilla, onion rings, and shrimp cocktail. The best part was the shrimp cocktail, and the rest was somewhat generic. We also split the rum grouper with mashed. The fish was good, but the mashed...my wife wouldn't even eat them, and that's her favorite food. I will say, we had a couple Bahama Mama's that were really good. When your in the Dell's, its hard not to go to Marley's, but its worth researching, and going somewhere with much better food.

    (2)
  • Cody H.

Well... yuck. There are quite a few touristy things for kids at this place, but if you're looking for great food options, keep driving. Sorry, but it was quite generic.

    (2)
  • Trena R.

You'll never need for a paper umbrella again! Super friendly waitress, good selection of average quality food and 2-4-1 drink specials poured with a slightly heavy hand :)

Marley's was right next door to the hotel we were staying at (Grand Marquis) so we walked over to have dinner. Really wanted to sit outside but there was a long wait so they seated us inside since we were hungry and tired from the long drive. The place is very cute. Maybe a little too cramped. First impression after sitting down on this cute booth ;) was that it's very loud and very busy. If I lived in the Dells I would probably only go for like the happy hour w/some friends and sit out side or come in the middle of the week w/my child when it's not so rushed and loud. But our first time experience was good and we had a good time. Was happy to have gotten the chance to try gator since we don't have such things here in St. Louis. And I liked it. I got the fish tacos and loved it. Only down side was the coconut rice....it was dried and over cooked, I didn't eat the re fried beans, the chips were stale, pico had no flavor. My son got chicken fingers and he loved them. Boyfriend got a fish sandwich and can't think of the name but he didn't like it and said the jerk fries were actually spicy. Boyfriend said he wouldn't go back but I would since I believe everyone deserves a second chance :) P.S. We ate here on 7/15/2011

Place to avoid in the Dells. We thought we would check this place out since we were across the street at the horse ride & petting zoo. We were with 4 children so we figured early in the night would be family friendly and they would know how to handle a group of 8. Well took about 15 min to get our drinks to us. Almost 45 min to get our entrees. The crab legs my gf ordered were served dry and tasteless and still cost $30. We had a coupon to take 10% off the entire bill and they only took it off of for me and my gf. Added to all this they have an automatic 18% gratuity to cover their crappy service. The cherry on top was that the karaoke guy they hired was a guy who's never done it before and had the sound mixed so bad with about 15 kids screaming their bratty heads off. Avoid!!

I know I've outgrown the club scene some time ago, but a good club keeps everyone feeling good. Like most establishments that serve alcohol in a touristy area, everyone is carded, and they have the neat ID scanners too. This is a good thing if you ask me, so have your ID. It's your standard bar club atmosphere. Dim lights, loud music, few designated areas for dancing (one has neon lite palm tree which was neat). The drinks are hand poured, so I'm sure if you treat your bartender well, they'll treat you well. I had a couple drinks and they varied in potency. On the night we went, the place was more of a sausage fest, and the few girls that were there were either accompanied or very selective with who they danced with; so not really a fun place for a group of guys to go and hang out. I should also mention that while we where there, a fight broke out. It was a one punch knock out, but the club security was real fast in reacting and took control of the situation extremely fast.

Ordered food from Marley's & had it delivered to our hotel. My wife had the Veggie Cuban Melt & I had the Jerk Grouper. Both were doused in salt...to the point of being ridiculous & barely edible. On top of that, the Jerk Grouper was mushy, rather than flaky as a Grouper should be. The delivery was fast & the food was hot, so I don't believe that impacted the food. I think the chefs just can't cook. First & last time we'll be eating there.

Marley's is a fun place to check out if you're in the Dells. I went there with my husband for drinks and appetizers. I didn't think their food was that great, but it was OK. And since we were drinking, I suppose it didn't make that much of a difference. We ordered the nachos and the quesadillas. They were both OK for bar food. The drinks were decent too. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Marley's as a restaurant but more as a nightlife destination instead. Supposedly it's turned into a nightclub with a dance floor at nighttime, though we only stayed late enough to see them setting up. Marley's also seemed to be a popular place for bachelor/bachelorette parties (there were at least three while we were there). I liked the decor with its Caribbean theme and fake palm trees. I thought the service was excellent. Our waitress was really friendly and personable. Overall, it was a nice experience. I definitely suggest checking it out if you're looking for a fun place to hang out at night and have some drinks.

Every time I come to the dells, i must go to Marleys! They have an uh-mazzzzing vegetarian burrito. And their speciality drinks are to die for. Fun decor, great music, and cute little uniforms on the workers. On the weekend, there is a nightclub. Its not like Chicago's nightclubs, but it will do.

    (4)
  • Jennifer A.

My advice...skip this place. A novel fun idea. The drinks were good, but the food was nothing, repeat nothing special. I really can't wrap my head around all these other reviews.

  • Jim M.

Wow, did this place go south. It used to be great food and great atmosphere at the old place, but now its just WAY over done. Disco lights and loud annoying music, even had fog. "OK" food but pushy server. Water is at a premium here, they don't want to give you any, and if you don't want an appetizer, you get a dumb look. Waitress was like a clone of that annoying guy Brian at Chotchkie's in the movie Office Space. I think her name was Ann. The only reason for the 2 stars was the food. The rest was 0-stars.

    (2)
  • Christina L.

Mojito was excellent! Fries were very good as well. What a fun place. We stopped by in the middle of a rainy day and were happy we did. We will go again for dinner for sure.

Our waitress was nice but overall food was miserable. Avoid the Cuban sandwiches and mexican. My advice is to keep looking.

Nice change of pace for the Dells. I expected a little hotter and a little more seasoning. Good for kids though. Jerk pork was really good.

Excellent jerk chicken, but not much sauce to go with it. My family visited Marley's for the first time this past week after scouting out the menu online. I'm always up for a good Caribbean-style meal, and this place didn't let me down. The beer selection was pretty decent too, and for a guy like me who likes to stray away from the "lite" selections for more of a red or pale ale, that's an important factor. We came during lunch, so it wasn't too crowded. Though I'd warn that it seems to be the place, judging from the advertisements on the tables, to get a little rowdy at night. I'm glad we didn't wander in here with the kids any later than we did. I guess there was going to be a bikini contest later on for the upcoming Marley's calendar shoot. The only issue we had with the waitress is that she threw away part of our friend's meal that she was planning to box up and take back to the cabin, but it was an honest mistake and she apologized for it.

It's a damn shame we didn't look hard enough for Marley's until our final day of our 4th of July weekend. Once we did find it, The Reef Nightclub attached to it would've been the place to be every night we were in town. The outside dining area & bar looked very inviting, but I had some wicked sunburn so we ate inside. The interior was huge, I couldn't help but think of how busy it would be at night during peak hours. I kept it simple & ordered some chicken strips with jammin fries & was not disappointed. The fries were a shorter slimmer seasoned type which were phenomenal, only downside is they get cold kinda quick since they're thin. The chicken strips were a tad above average since they were hot til the last one. I sampled a gator bite from a buddy's plate & it was ok, kinda tough but decent. Next time I'm in the Dells, I will eat at Marley's & visit The Reef every night

It was my first time here, so I have nothing to compare it to like other reviewers. I was here in October, so it was also "off season" for the area. So with that being said, lets begin. DECOR: it goes with the whole theme. The inside and out is fun & touristy. I also noticed a bar/tables/pool tables outside for patrons during the summer. The inside tables are lined with paper, and crayons are there for coloring. STAFF: like I said, it was off season, so when we went on a Saturday night at 5pm, it was not busy. In fact it was actually pretty dead in there. The staff was standing around for the most part. Our server was great he checked back often and was polite & helpful. FOOD/DRINKS: well it's Caribbean food so its going to be a little spicy. It was no where near overwhelming, in fact i thought it was just the right amount of kick. I had a Marley's Burger. Burger patty, with jerk pork, and cheese. It was really tasty, but VERY greasy. The bottom half of my bun was soggy and I had to ask for a knife and fork to eat it. Which is a tad upsetting because nobody like a soggy bun. The burger was pretty much eh, because it was so greasy. The pork on the burger was very tender and tasted awesome. The jammin fries are basically skinny french fries with a spicy seasoning. But they were really good. I definitely recommend the Marley's ketchup. SO GOOD. and you can buy a bottle to take home too.The alligator bites were not bad either. It was basically the same thing as popcorn chicken. The 2--for-1 drinks were a great deal, $7 for two drinks in the dells how can you go wrong? If only there was alcohol in them, because I didn't taste anything at all and after drinking four I should've felt some kind of buzz....The menu has a wide variety of choices: burgers, pizza, pasta, stir fries, tacos, seafood, ect... PRICE: Most of the apps were about $7-$13. Most dinner entrees were $9-$20 depending on what you ordered. So I guess it wasn't really bad, but not impressing enough to make me want to stop back every time I'm in the area. It reminded me of an applebees or Red Robin only with a tourist theme.

My family goes there once a year, and we have always loved the food!

  • Doug G.

The only reason I gave it two stars was because of the food. I understand that it is the off season but that is still no excuse to have bad service. I got fajitas and they were average at best. I was told by people that this was a good place to eat and after my experience I will never be returning. My server was slow and had the personality of a board. Overall a very bad experience

Jerk seasoning is awful, stay away from the grouper....yummy drinks and good service tho.

Food - Pathetic, greasy, tasteless. We ordered the island stir fry which was nothing but thawed frozen veggies right out of a bag on a bed of poorly spiced rice. Service - I didn't see an option of giving negative stars. We didn't leave a tip because the sophomoric waitress was extremely rude to us. It was a hot and humid day and I understand that waiting outdoor tables is not an easy job. But this gal was outright obnoxious when my friend asked her for a recommendation. She said "How do I know what you like and plus I haven't tried everything on the menu. Excuse me for sounding this way but I'm having a bad day. " Seriously, it's not a food shelter you're serving at lady, we're paying for this crap that you serve.

My friend and I went here for lunch before a day trip to the Dells. Awful. AWFUL. Honestly, I was really excited about this place; my friends always went there...I think for the nightclub part though. Because the food was terrible. I ordered the mahi mahi with some Marley sauce or something, with the coconut rice and greens. My mahi mahi was cooked well. That's the only positive thing I can say about my food. The sauce was disgusting. Tasted like a chalky sour milk mess, with tiny shrimp added. The coconut rice was just overcooked brown rice with ZERO coconut taste; I could have mushed it all together and made some kind of molding clay. The greens were also overcooked and tasteless. My friend had just the blackened mahi mahi, it was cooked fine. Again, the ONLY positive thing about his meal. He had smashed red potatoes and veggies with his meal. The smashed red potatoes were brown, browned butter kind of brown. I'm fairly sure they were dried potatoes that they just added milk or water too and voila! potatoes! They had that gritty consistency to them that I associate with dried potatoes. His veggies, were undercooked. When the waiter asked if we would like a box we politely declined. He said, were you just not hungry? I said no, it was terrible, absolutely awful. He laughed! My friend asked if he could at least comp us a dessert because we obviously did not eat any of the food on our plates. Again, he laughed and said no, that's really pushing' it! I was appalled at the level of service this waiter provided us with. He should have asked us if we would have liked anything else, or comped us the meal or SOMETHING. I was really disappointed...and hungry when we left. On a positive note, they did have a live band. These two cute young girls who were playing guitar and singing. They were great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere that Marley's provides. That would be the only reason I would ever go back here - to sit outside, have a few cocktails, and enjoy some live music. The service and the food are outrageously terrible.

If you here during the day and early night, you can get some serioiusly good food...BUT...that being said-- Marley's is Cinderella on crack. After the stroke of twelve, it turns into a sleazy meatmarket full of skanky palm tree grinders(you heard me) and greasy guys with roaming hands. EW. RUN, FAST.

    (1)
  • TJ S.

Never went in. We (14 in a bach party) took the Marleys shuttle from our resort around midnight. The line was about 75 people and $10 cover (no VIP entrance etc...although several tried). We promptly went across the street to the Pizza Pub where we grabbed a table and enjoyed beers and cool people until bar close. The line at Marleys was still about 30 deep at 1:00AM (all 20 something dudes). I'm going to say we came out on top in this situation.

I was up there for dinner with my family on a recent trip. Having been there before in years past we decided to try again. One thing certainly is that the place has been consistent over the years. Service is above average, certainly adequate except for the fussiest. The food is the real attraction great taste and selection. Mostly burgers, fish and steaks. The kids had a good time too. We dined on a Saturday night the weekend after the fourth of July. We were seated in under 10 minutes. The place was full but without too much wait. We left by 8pm before the live music. Try it out if you are in the Dells area.

Decent prices, ok food. I had the jerk pulled pork, more spice than flavor. The waitress was nice to our daughter and service was pretty fast.

We were quite disappointed with our meal. The quality of the food was lacking, and the portions for both the appetizers and the entrees were a bit small. I would definitely not return.

I went in here with some friends, mainly because one of them was going to meet up with a girl who was going to come here, which she didn't. I don't pay to get into bars in Chicago, why would I want to pay to get into a bar in the Dell's. They play really bad music and crowd of people are tourists on vacation (not always very fun). My friends and I should o gotten some beer and went to the pool at the hotel. I recommend you do the same and avoid Marley's.

Meat market. This is one of those early college-age places that is more annoying now than it was when I was in college. We came to this place in the wee hours of the morning this past weekend because it was the only place still open. This was just awful. It had all the trappings of a classic bad dance club: - sea of writhing people in various stages of dress/undress, from angry-looking lads wearing big poofy winter coats with fur-lined hoods (it had to be 92 in there) to people who REALLY shouldn't be wearing tube tops and/or daisy dukes - HIGHLY unlikely everybody there was 21 or over - majority of people have been served to beyond excess - a LOT of cars in the parking lot...I know it's not a major metro area folks, but there ARE taxis! Don't drive! - fights - wet floors - wet with what, I didn't want to know - deafening and GODAWFUL music - flashing lights that could awaken the epileptic in all of us - weak, weak drinks - specials on only the finest mixes, i.e. trash can punch and vodka-Redbulls - surly bartenders (to match the patrons) As I was lead to the outdoor area through the sweat and skin and glares and giggles (me and my 28 years were practically ANCIENNE here) I repeated in my head, 'I'm not 22, I'm not 22, I'm not 22...' lol I really hated this place. And it's just as well, because I'm not going back.

Unfortunately, this time around, Marley's has sorely disappointed us. We entered the restaurant and were assaulted by the smell of chlorine instead of yummy food. That wouldn't have been too bad if the restaurant had actually been clean, which it wasn't. However, it was the food that killed the evening for us. Every single dish we tried was over-salted! That includes the kids meals. The staff was very nice, and did try to accommodate my daughter's egg allergy. For that, I give this place a star.... Otherwise, there wouldn't have been any... It was that disppointing for us. We will not be coming back here to eat any time soon.

This review is for the food and not the nightclub. We thought the ambiance was really nice, and the reggae music is great of course. My bug complaint was the food. I had the stir fry, which just wasn't very good at all. Other folks had some of the other menu items though, and were pleased.

I went to this place last year when it was @ the old location. It was such a good time! The service was good and my food was really good. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was fun. I will be visiting the new location this year... CANT WAIT!@!!

This is one of the better finds in the Dells area. I had the the Jerk Chicken Primevera and it was outstanding. The price was right too for what we ate! The have a daily 2-4-1 drink special which you really can't beat. Our waitress was great! She was always checking on us and was very quick and efficient. The Caribbean atmosphere was very unique and they had plenty of TV's within view to catch the Badger game.

Great carribean/american food ( to include various flavors of chicken wings, lobster alfredo and of course JERK!), fun atmosphere, when the clock reads 10pm.......its one of the hottest places to go for nightlife. Entertainment includes live bands, DJs, contests. Great restaurant during the day, great bar/club at night

Great "Special" sauce. And the chicken strips are seriously the best anywhere, even better than arby's. if i ever said arby's was the best, i lied. Spicy, o so spicy.

I was in Wisconsin Dells for the weekend + new year's for a little skiing trip, and the place where we went for our new year's party was beyond boring, so we decided to check out what's around, and we bumped into Marley's. It ended up being a whole lot fun! They play great music, hip/hop, reggae, 80s and the crowd is just awesome! Drinks are reasonably priced, and the service was nice! They don't accept credit cards in the entrance, so have your cash ready! $10 cover charge, and I don't know if it's really in effect, but according to the sign on the door, they do have some restrictions ie: long coats, sweatpants etc. They have a huge parking lot, so you don't have to spend hours looking for a place to park. I had a great time here, I recommend to anyone! Have fun!

My experience was very similar to Jenni, Brett & Brian's reviews. Used to be great...now just good. Food was hit and miss. Service was great & atmosphere was fun. Drink menu was limited although they have many full bars. We've hit Marley's every Dells trip with & without kids at both the original location and their latest. I always order two things when I go there: jerk chicken nachos & coconut chicken dinner. As noted in other reviews, prices went up but the portion size of nachos was half of what I recalled from my last visit a couple of years ago. The most frustrating part was that more than half of the nachos were just chips. The small amount of jerk chicken, cheese etc was good, just not enough for the price. The coconut chicken was rubbery which was unfortunate since I was really looking forward to it. The mashed potatoes were very good as was the coconut rice. The pizza was very good. It was a pleasant surprise as I took a few bites before our boys quickly gobbled it all up. Kudos there. Not sure why they shrunk their drink menu but my wife always like to order her drinks in this manner. She likes choosing from the special concoctions a restaurant/bar has to offer. I recall one I used to order regularly for years which was I think the "flying monkey" or something like that which was made with banana rum and other liquors. They still have the 2-4-1 drink special each day which is a good value. Kids enjoyed the shuffleboard & beach volleyball and the overall atmosphere. They also had a cute ice cream stand outside (cash only). We'll likely go back next year hoping it's a little better. Especially since service & atmosphere was great and was clean.

The food here is OK, just OK. Prices are high for what you get. During the summer they have a nice outdoor section and bar that I could see being fun, but during the off season, you're better off trying something else.

Marley's was a huge disappointment. Our server couldn't have cared less, sadly, and the food was even worse than the service. Waaaaay over priced and they have a serious fly problem indoors. Not a fan :-(

My boyfriend and I came here one night during our recent stay in Wisconsin Dells, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of anything beach related and the atmosphere at marley's was right up my alley. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was very tasty! They played a lot of good music while we were there and the table cloths you can draw on I thought was a really cute and unique idea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes, it's pretty touristy but that's what the dells is all about. Would definitely recommend for a fun date night!

This is a two part review, food and atmosphere. Food: The food here is HORRIBLE!!! Don't be fooled by the menu! the over priced, caribbean menu actually looks very promising, promising enough that you almost bypass the price because the description of the food looks amazing! My boyfriend had the surf and turf (steak and crab legs). Both the steak and crab legs lacked flavor. The butter for the crab legs were the best tasting thing he had. Although they lacked flavor, the restaurant does partially crack open the legs for you, so that's a plus. I had the coconut shrimp which was a bit better than his. The shrimp was good but the garlic mashed potatoes that came with them tasted of only garlic. The rice that came with both meals lacked flavor as well. Also, I payed $16.99 for only 6 shrimp, what a rip off. Atmosphere: We only stayed outside but from what I saw outside, it's a nice place to hang out! There is a fire pit, live music, tvs, a bar, a volleyball net and other games outside. It's actually a pretty cool place atmosphere wise.

Came here twice. 1st time food was excellent, second was just ok. The outside eatery is just amazing. Feels like you're on a beach in (add tropical destination here) with their straw gazebo's & lightly powered fans. Play sand area for the little ones. Great music- Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley. Awesome atmosphere.

Awful service!!! Rude waitress who got everything wrong and when we asked for a manger she couldn't care less and didn't even apologize. Never again.

Family friendly, loved the 2-4-1 bahama mamas, enjoyed the live music, patio seating was a nice change. Coconut chicken was good, nothing superb, mahi mahi with the dipping sauce pretty amazing. Kids meals over priced. ..did not enjoy the sand pit full of trash and chalk bits or the kids leaving with additional dirt. Staff Amanda was very friendly.

Jerk pork was excellent in nachos (not enough stuff on them though) & the BBQ sandwich. Delicious. The bathrooms should dole out more than 4 inches of paper towels at a time though. Come on :eye roll:

This place is HORRIBLE! If you go to the dells don't go here for dinner. The seafood pasta tasted so fake. My husband has a food allergy and he specially told the waitress, she checked with her manager if they could make his meal without what he was allergic to. They said it was no problem, when he got his meal they didn't take that food out of his meal!! Thank goodness he noticed before he took a bite. They had to re make his whole meal and didn't even take anything off our bill. Now we know why no one was there, this place needs some major help!

Prices went up quite a bit since October of 2013, almost every menu item went up 2-5 dollars and there's no more lunch menu so pretty much every appetizer and entire' is $10 or more, an appetizer of wings is $14, that's twice as much as any other place in the area and gator bites are $13 now up from $9.50 last summer. Marley's prices are making it lose it's allure. Unfortunately this will probably be my last time dining here.

Amazing food, in the summer the service average at best but the food more then makes up for it!!!

Marley's is Wett's main competition for dancing in Wisconsin Dells. If you like crowds and overpriced drinks then go here. You'll find the same at Wett too. Marley's does have a good dinner menu if your interested in dining in.

The gator sandwich was disgusting, just an appetizer like chicken nuggets on bread. The jerk grouper was horribly made. And the lobster scampi was like glue. Do not waste your money, for those 3 things and 2 drinks it was 75$

This is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. From the cheesy decor to the abysmal food. If you visit the dells do yourself a favor and stay far away from the disaster of a "sold out" soulless restaurant.

So perfect! I loved the outdoor seating area and the sandbox for the kids was wonderful. All 7 in our group really enjoyed the food and great customer service. I just wish we had eaten there again before the end of our trip.

I was here for a private party. It was fun, the music was lively and the staff attentive. Here is an interesting factoid - Marley's has New Glarus Spotted Cow on the import (not domestic) menu. Lots of other beer options, including Red Stripe, Miller Lite, Stella and Coronas. The food was good. I especially enjoyed the seafood salad/crab salad appetizer and the taco bar. Lots of tv's in the bar should you need to watch some sports.

Absolutely horrible because you are forced to stand in a freezing cold line to get let in like your at a Vegas club. They only let in a few people at a time. Then you have to wait in ANOTHER line to check your coat. The club Was not even close to capacity. It is MANDATORY have to check your coat, & get charged $5 for it. they made me PAY and check MY VEST. ***30 minutes waiting in -2 weather & a Total $10 to just get in the door per person. On a Saturday.**** Dear Marley's: You are in Wisconsin Dells in winter, you have no Choice but to wear a jacket; you should be happy you have business in the off season VS other Dells' businesses. Tone it down. I have to check my jacket but a man on the dance floor can smoke a joint ? Hmmmmmmm Overall, SPENCER, the doorman, in my eyes a hustler wanna be, whatever you want to call him- was what pushed us over the edge. HE PUSHES WOMEN. IS ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTFUL. My friend & I were told to go in to get IDs checked then he changed his mind and PUSHED MY FRIEND OUTSIDE. Forcefully. BY HER ARM. Keep in mind this is a man 6'3 and a girl 4'10 Once we got past this jerk off, and noticed we had to stand in ANOTHER LINE 20+ people to Mandatory check coat, my friend & I were so upset with the service from Spencer, we immediately left. I will be contacting the manager directly regarding this poor standard of coat check & this MEAN MAN SPENCER. Due to the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL NEVER RETURN EVER. Thank The Doormen!

The service was good, we came here to get some drinks and check out the scene and the drinks were very weak if not virgin. We said something and they told us to get another shot and made us pay for it. Beer bar don't do mixed drinks.

Went here with a bachelorette party, and I'd have to say it was a good choice. The theme was Jamaican, of course, and they had a wide variety of seafood options. We split an appetizer with the group- gator bites. They tasted like popcorn chicken, and were really good. I had the coconut shrimp, which were awesome as well! The only thing I'd have to say is that I felt the drinks were over-priced. They had a "2-4-1" deal going on... But the fruity drink itself was $8 alone... So the deal made the drinks $4 each. Ehhh... I'd definitely come here again though! Our group just went for dinner, but there was a dance floor as well that looked like it could have been fun later. Next time! :)

The food is not only terrible, but it's horrendously overpriced. I was smothering my jerk chicken in ketchup because it was so bland. I should've just lit $50 on fire. If you want a meal that is both excellent and dollar-worthy, check out High Rock Cafe!

While at the Dells, we ALMOST DID'NT stop here because of the reviews stating poor service. I am glad we did not pay heed to those reviews. Our experience was awesome! The food was excellent, and the service left nothing to be desired. Even my teen aged daughter (who does NOT like fish) ate and loved the Mako shark and 1/2 of my Grouper! If they can get that fussy little chick to eat fish, they are tops in my book! I am unable to give 5 stars, as their drinks are really expensive....$7 for a rather small and weak margarita.

Really positive experience. My son and I were up in the dells for a few days before he went back to school. When we got off of the express way, we saw Marleys and thought it looked like a fun place. It was the Wednesday before Labor day weekend at about 6pm. Surprisingly it was pretty dead, which was fine with me. We sat outside in their enormous outdoor area. The waiter that we had was very attentive and during dinner stopped by our table a bunch of times to see if we needed anything. The manager even came over to see how things were going. As far as the food, we started with Gator Bites as an appetizer. They were interesting, not bad, but different. I had never had alligator before so I wasn't sure what to expect. A little tougher than I thought. The sauce with the gator bites..excellent! I think you could have put that sauce on a tire and it would have tasted good. My son and I both had burgers and they were excellent. Very tender and tasty. They had a special on Marley Ice Teas, 2 for 1. It's like a fruity long island ice tea. They were excellent. One thing that I thought was funny, the waiter mentioned the special and I said sounds great. For the 2 for 1 I figured he'd bring one and when I was finished he'd bring the other...nope, brought them both at the same time. No matter, the first one went down fast! :) Any way, Marley's seems like a really fun place. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was awesome.

It was like Rick Wilcox made the customer service disappear! We walked in for lunch... there was no server to greet us. We waited... nothing. We walked in a little farther... still no one. I peeked into the bar area... it was like pirates plundered the staff. We took a few steps back to the host/hostess counter and waited a little longer. An employee walked by... didn't even make eye contact - and I couldn't get his attention. We walked out. I wasn't even going to write this review because it was such an incomplete experience. But for one, they get a star for the free magic show. And two, maybe management is reading this and can fix it. Hopefully...

So when you sit at the bar order a beer and the bartender asks you if you want to start a tab? You say yes can I see a menu. Don't you think she would come back and take your order? Not at marleys. Horrible service and did I mention I was the only one at the bar? Sorry monks for trying someplace new.

We have gone to Marley's every year we visit the Dells. Sometimes that is a few times a year. I also visit Marley's when I am on town on business. On this occasion I was in town for both business and pleasure. My family and I went to Marley's for dinner tonight and the experience has me reeling still. We arrived around 8pm. We were seated promptly, and that is about the only positive thing I can say about the visit. After we were seated it took about 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. By that time we had already decided what we were going to order. We ordered our drinks and meal immediately. Wen the drinks arrived, the server (we will call him Bob) mixed up the drinks and gave regular soda to the diabetic at the table. This is not a small thing, this could have hurt someone. I did not get upset, but pointed out when we needed a refill that he had switched them up and that a switch up like that may seem minor but it could hurt someone. I have never received such attitude from a waiter. Beofre we got our food, my husband took our 5 year old son to use the restroom. The partition between the urinals FELL OFF THE WALL nearly hitting my son in the head and slamming into my husband's knee. There is a nice welt and bruise there. Management was notified immediately that a piece of the wall that was supposed to be SCREWED IN fell out of the wall and injured him. The manager on duty was less than concerned. She gave my husband an incident report form to fill out and that was pretty much it....she did not come to the table to see how he was doing, did not even comp his soda, no offer of anything to help remedy the situation or to offer good customer service to make it right. THERE WAS NO CONCERN AT ALL!!!! Our food FINALLY arrives and the side of ranch dressing I had ordered to dip my fries in was spilled all over my sandwich. I was obviously not pleased with the soggy bun but Bob could care less. He slammed the plates down (yes, SLAMMED!) and waltzed away. That was the last time I saw him until he came to slap the bill down in front of us. The bill was close to $50....I barely touched my food nor did my husband. He is at the local gas station now picking up snacks because we are so hungry. As we were finishing up, the grand finale of the whole evening, a little kid was peeing in the lawn right behind our table. I am absolutely flummoxed at the lack of offering anything to my husband for being HURT! I didn't need the meal comp's. This was a meal that would be expensed anyhow. It is the GESTURE. Marley's never again! I will be writing this review anywhere I can publish it.....

Stars sadly keep going down for marleys.....its a shame. Going to the dells as regularly as I do for drunken water slide fun ive noticed 1 thing about the dells.......Its very difficult to find good food. Years ago I tried marleys and loved it....couldnt wait to go back.......but now? We go in wondering what the downgrade will be like this time. Well as I said in my earlier review the blackened grouper that I used to love is now a no go for me so this time I went with the old standby...the jerk burger. Back in the day the burger was juicy with a fair amount of jerk sauce resting on top and it was great....but now? No jerk sauce to be found....the burger was dried out.....and to top it off (forgive the pun) you have to pay 25 cents per extra topping... lettuce? 25 cents.... tomato ? 25 cents...... onions? 25 cents. Talk about nickle and diming .... and even though I requested onions and tomato they were no where to be found on my burger. ugh. What happened marleys? Where have you gone? will you ever return to the ways of old? I hope so....but not likely mon .

Marley's used to be a Dells "must visit" place for our semi-annual trips. We visited Marley's on 4/22/14 only to realize it was no longer the great food & great service we were accustomed to. We went without drinks for the first 20 minutes and once we got them wedding receive refills until we were ready to leave. Our 10 year old wanted the kids quesadillas (a $4.99 item) we asked how much to add chicken - it was $4 more?! She ended up ordering the chicken quesadillas. Nothing in the menu states they are spicy (and no refills...) so she can't bear to eat it. We inform the server who orders us the kids one but says sorry, you will have to pay for both. Ha! The kids cheese burgers were red inside and cool to the touch. Ordered soup, it wasn't brought to the table but we DID get charged for it. Had to have the bill adjusted three times. The Marley's burger was plain, tasteless and the bun was so saturated with grease it was soggy and pooling on the plate. Have never been here off-season until this year but we will not be back. Nearly $100 later, it was the worst Dells restaurant experience we've ever had.

Service was great, but the food was so-so. Don't count on getting the bang for your buck here. One spoon of rice with my small piece Grouper didn't cut it. And if you get the $10 burger count on paying extra for the lettuce and the tomato and the onion. Size of the shrimp are medium to small not large

The food was mediocre, at best, and the drinks were extremely weak. Don't bother with their specials, the drinks are a joke. Whatever shots they have on special are equally as bad. The atmosphere is the only thing nice about the place, and they know it, which is why they get away with overpricing their drinks. Security staff runs around with their collars popped, like teenage d-bags. Our service staff was very friendly, and provided good service, on the other hand. It's a shame this place was otherwise such a disappointment. I won't be going back.

This definitely depends on what kind of person you are. I went on a Thursday night in winter, and there were probably 40 people where, all of which probably knew each other. These people looked like they were probably 18, and were the only ones on the dance floor. Many locals took their shoes which I found weird and incredibly unsanitary. here was a portion of the night, around 12:30 where girls stood on the bar and poured free shots into everyones mouth. Some of which were locals in hoodies. Yes. They were on the bar doing work. Last call was at 1:50 and at exactly 2 they were literally kicking people out, not letting people finish their beers. I WAS SCREAMED AT BY 15 YEAR OLDS TO GET OUT,. like what? Incredibly pretentious staff.

First time in 2013 slow service, food ok. Decided to give another try since we all like this type of food. Second time, noticed prices went up a bit. Still slow service, very loud, seats VERY close to another. Food average at best. Was hoping for an improvement.

Not bad, not bad. I came here for dinner during my best friend's bachelorette weekend. We had a group of 7 on a Friday night and were seated outside right away (by the sandbox - love that idea for kids). Service was good; a little slow, but it was only our server's second night on his own, so it was understandable. The food was very good. I had the jerk chicken sandwich, which had a nice kick to it, and the jammin' fries were deliiiiicious. Just spicy enough, but not so much that they were overwhelming with the sandwich. My only complaint with Marley's is that it was a tad overpriced, but I suppose that's the Dells for you. I might be more inclined to find a slightly cheaper option next time I'm in town, but overall, a pretty good dinner stop!

The service is horrible, got seated and waited 10 min for a waitress to order drinks, then another 10 min. to receive the drinks. Ordered the Jerk combo platter, it was super spicy and the coconut rice and mango salsa were good. The chicken was dry. Husband got the coconut shrimp and he liked them. The daughter got a cheeseburger with fries and she liked it. I would not eat here again though.

This was my second time at marleys. The first was in the summer and the atmosphere outside was awesome. We just went this past week and we were the only people in the restaurant when we got there but our server was super up beat and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the coconut chicken with fries which was really good. I also tried their rum special drink they had that night but I didn't like it too much. The inside is decorated nicely and the prices are competitive for the dells. Will definitely come back :)

My son got sick from the food and my child LOVES food he's not a picky eater and always finishes his plate. It was also nothing crazy, it was Mac and Cheese with raw veggies. & my kid eats what is given to him. My daughter barely ate her hot dog (Which is okay because she is the picky eater.) I was also kind of angry because this kid I asked to get me a plastic bag so I can clean the puke of his shirt since we were going back home after we went to Kalahari's Indoor Theme Park, gave me an attitude about my child vomiting from your horrible food. My husband didn't even finish his half slab jerk ribs. I had a Mahi Mahi and I wasn't crazy, had better, but your mashed potatoes are yum. Honestly, only came here because it came with my resort package. Hopefully when I stay their next time they can let me go somewhere else.

A little disappointing. I had the Jerk plate that had the grouper, pork and chicken. The rice was kinda bland and I expected a little more flavor. My wife had the surf and turf with the crab legs and it was adequate as well. Very expensive for that, however.

We love the vibe here. The girls (age 6-9) enjoy this place because there were a nice selection of kids meals, priced very reasonably, and the place just exuberated energy! The decor is fun, colorful, and cool Caribbean feel with sand and fake palm trees. Our waitress was great - she went over and beyond to cater our needs and stayed around to chat with the girls to make sure their experience was special. My husband had the lobster and gator burger. Lobster was cooked perfectly - it was juicy and tender. He prefers the gator po-boy at Taste of New Orleans. I had the chicken jerk - it was spicy but could be seasoned better. This was a nice step away from the normal burger, pizzas, pasta food that the Dells area offered.

So I got a chicken sand which the place is nice but food meh

Atmosphere - A+ Wait Staff - B+ Food - F My mom and I arrived at Marley's super excited for a great time. The restaurant was super festive and fun, lively. We walked past the souvenirs and I was looking forward to having a great time that would inspire me to buy a t-shirt! Everything was great until my food arrived. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo. Nothing in the dish's description said anything about imitation crab meat, but that's exactly what I got. The noodles and 'seafood' were drowning in sauce, the shrimp was overcooked and super chewy - like beef almost. And oh the imitation crab meat. Disgusting and very obvious, and LOADED on. I'm guessing the massive amount of Alfredo sauce was meant to try to disguise the switch-a-roo. So if you want to pay $17 for fake meat (when you were expecting REAL), Marley's is the place for you. It was SO nice of the waiter to give us 10% off the meal since I 'didn't eat my meal.' Yeah thanks so much. If I was less tired from my vacation (this was our last meal before leaving and I was just ready to go home), I would've asked to speak to the manager to get the whole dish comped. For a place the seems to pride itself on its excellent seafood...it sure likes to use fake stuff. I can only imagine what the $35 lobster dish contained. I'll make sure to tell my family/friends to avoid this place if they choose to vacation in the Dells. Gross.

We were excited to try the new Marley's. From the outside it looks like a fun, vibrant establishment that hopefully has good food. Well, it gets 2 stars and both stars are for their vibe, decor, sand box for the kids and live music. They lose 1 star for terrible service, 1 star for weak drinks and 1 star for god-awful food even by Dells' standards. The only decent plate was the individual pizza for my 3 year old. We were quickly seated on a busy July 4th weekend, which while great, is not always a good sign of quality. Our hostess walked at mach speed to our table leaving us way in the dust, dropped the menu's on the table and walked away. We observed her do it to many other perplexed diners. Then, our high-school/early college aged waitress with the impressive hickey on her neck, came to serve us and asked us if we were ready to order about 1 minute after sitting. She then asked us about 2 minutes later, almost like she was had incentive to turn tables. We ordered some mojito's and they tasted like mint soda water with no rum; very lame. We ordered Gator Bites and Calamari, which were both worse than frozen food you can get at WalMart. The Gator bites tasted like big bites of salt. My wife ordered the Grouper, which was not cooked all the way, and in sticks of butter to add something to the bland taste. My Steak stir fry was an atrocity to any cook that has ever cooked stir fry. Absolutely awful. Again, the only positive part of this review was that they had a big sandbox for the kids to play in while we were on our Bataan death march to our gross food. I cannot imagine how anyone would give this place any marks on their food. They must be people that eat only McDonald's and Burger King.

Gator bites very good but prepare to pay about $1 per quarter sized piece. $12.99. Wait staff very good. Food mediocre for what you pay. My son dropped what I boxed up going back into our hotel and I was a bit relieved knowing I'd get to order a pizza later now:) Much better options in the dells and the best advice I can give is the rule you get what you pay for does not apply here.

So Marleys is great for some things and less great for other things. The atmosphere is awesome, they definitely have the beachiest place in Wisconsin. It's a great place for kids, the music is fun and the servers hand out leis to all the little guys. The food is hit and miss though, and seeing as this is primarily a restaurant, I can't help but evaluate them on the grub first and foremost. I had the coconut chicken salad which was very blah. The chicken was breaded and fried, and just came with some coconut flakes on top of the breading, not mixed in. It just didn't feel very much like coconut at all. The pineapple I was served was pale and tasted as unripe as it looked. The rest of the veggies weren't really prepped for a salad, just a bunch of onions and tomatoes cut to be burger toppings, but thrown on a salad instead. It wasn't awful, just average. For fifteen bucks though I wouldn't recommend it. Go with something they can't screw up like a jerk burger. My boyfriend started with the gator bites which were good. I've never had gator before and the texture was kind of springy like calamari. It was breaded and fried, served with ranch, so it wasn't much different than any cheese stick or chicken strip app I've ever had. He also had an Alfredo pasta with jerk pork which he liked but was very thick. It didn't strike me as very carribean, but if he liked it, who cares I guess. The service was kind of crummy though. Our waitress wouldn't make a recommendation because apparently "everything is good here" to which I disagree very much after my lunch. We also never had water which is always a pet peeve of mine when I'm out. I've never had great food in the dells, so I can't say that I wouldn't come back. I've heard it makes a better bar than restaurant, so maybe that's my move.

OMG! I have been here a few times in the past and had a good time but my friends and I went this weekend and it was awful! I have never had such a bad experience at a bar/club in my life. 1. $5 cover plus mandatory $5 coat check 2. GHETTO and TRASHY people! 3. At the end of the night, the staff was almost outright abusive as they were kicking people out of the bar. I felt like I was being herded like prisoners by guards! It was so weird. I don't typically write reviews but this experience was so bad that I had to this time.

We came here again for our annual Dells trip. it was a Sunday evening, and the place was DEAD. (Which is fine for us!) we had to seek out a bartender to seat us, no one was at the hostess stand. This time tried the jerk gator sandwich and the Rasta Pasta. Both were, OK... The jerk gator was lean and tasty but really too salty for my taste. The coconut rice side was undercooked and inedible. They brought me some garlic mashed potatoes as a replacement, and they were delicious. The Rasta Pasta was good, but not great. A better sauce would have made the dish. When I checked in on Yelp, a 15% discount popped up! they rang it up as a 12% discount, probably hoping I wouldn't notice. I'm less impressed than I was on past visits, but still not bad. Besides, can't beat the bogo Mai Tais on Sundays.

We went to the night club on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The club had a great atmosphere, but we were extremely disgusted with the cleanliness of the women's bathroom. Someone had overflowed the far stall early in the night and there was overflow all over the floor. Only 2 stalls were useable the entire time we were there. Multiple people in our group mentioned this to various employees, but nothing was done about it.

The portions were big and tastey. Nice ambience outdoor performer playing the guitar and singing was perfect. Would definitely go back. Service great too!!!

This restaurant has extremely poor service. I definitely recommend that you do not eat there. There are plenty of better places out there that you should be visiting. Actually, it's hard to think of anywhere worse to eat. I would suggest McDonald's over this place.

To anyone that saw the video by some parent that claimed his son had "special needs" and was bringing in McDonalds to eat in THEIR RESTAURANT and your saying that was ok...well you all have some screws loose! First of all....the kid didn't want fish PER THE MOTHER so they wanted to eat McDonalds at this establishment....look at the face book film! The father saw a good opportunity to turn this into something that benefited his family! It is not ok to bring in food from another restaurant...ever. If they did this anywhere, the same thing would happen...you get kicked out if you don't heed the managers warning to take it outside....Marleys did the right thing and this family should be ashamed of themselves and so should the people that fell for this Facebook post!! This is a great family restaurant and if you want McDonalds.....THEN GO THERE!!!

Prices are quite high for what you get. $7 for a kids cheese quesadilla with a very small fruit cup. The Jammin' fries are awesome, especially with the jerk ketchup. My burger was very bland, but my wife's jerk pork was delicious and seemed to be a much larger serving. 2 people in our party got vegetables as a side and they were hard and very small portions. Servers were super friendly. One more place in the Dells that is overpriced for mediocre.

Worst Experience Ever!! Where do I begin!? The waiter was an absolute joke! We ordered drinks and waters. He brought the waters back, disappeared for 20 minutes, came back and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. When he finally did bring the drinks, he brought half of them. We waited another 20 minutes for the other half. We had a large group and ordered many different things - the only thing that was somewhat good was the seafood pasta - which tasted more like mac n' cheese than anything. The "Seafood" was imitation crab. Food was so bland - no flavoring at all! Very disappointing coming from a "Jamaican" restaurant. We asked for the manager who took nearly 20 minutes to come to our table - she did not apologize, she did not give an explanation. She was just rude. We then asked for our check - 3 times! Finally, 40 minutes later it came. We were ALL livid!! Our table was never cleared and our drinks were never refilled. Sad to say, but this was my worst dining experience ever.

The staff was friendly and the place is a great size. I would love to return during the night when the club is up and going. The drinks were good and great 2-4-1 on certain drinks. They had a kids menu which was nice considering we were traveling with kids. However being from an area with many jamaican eateries and jerk spots I was not impressed with jerk chicken. The chicken had more of a regular baked chicken in the oven flavor although very tender. The sauce did not have that kick that one looks for in a jerk sauce. I was also missing that true aroma of a jerk place. I would try it again just some other menu choices.

I recently visited this restaurant for the fifth time in two years. I live in chicago so frequently do weekend getaways in the dells. This time I brought my friends and their family. I called ahead to let them know that I was bringing in a party of ten, for outdoor seating, and would need two highchairs. When I arrived I was happy to not have to wait and the host showed us to our table which was all set to go. However I noticed there were no highchairs set up so I proceed to inform the hostess I would need two. She said she would be back with them. Standing there with two squirmy baby I finally realized she wasn't coming back. I then set out to find some highchairs myself. (Still no server after ten minutes) ok, found highchairs myself and set them up. Then, I noticed there weren't any crayons for the kids menus the host had given us. So I went back to the host stand and politely asked for crayons. ( since she was the one whom had given me the kid coloring sheets) She told me she couldn't help me and I needed to speak to my server about it. Ok. So I went back to my table. Still no server. So I proceeded to go inside to that host stand in hopes to find some crayons for the kids. 7 servers! Walked by me without one person asking if I had been helped. Nothing. Looked right at me and kept walking. Whatever, so I went back to my table. There was the server. Finally! Drink time! Yay! I asked her if she wanted to separate the checks or if we could just give her three cards for a split payment on one bill. She had no idea what to say. She said that she didn't know if they took split payments and that it was only her second day. (What kind of establishment gives a server a party of ten on their second day!?!) so then she left to go find out about the checks. In the mean time, two musicians approach. And start playing life music. I love live music! However, they had positioned our table RIGHT next to the speaks. Which was turned up entirely to loud. Babies were crying and I couldn't even yell our drink order to the server. So then, starting to feel irritated and hungry, I approached the manager, and asked if maybe we could move, or go inside, or if they could just turn that speaker down just a smidgen. She was sweet and said she would ask them. great! Almost ready to order my surf and turf and top shelf drinks! But no.... The music got louder and the server never returned. Once again, I set out for crayons, and once again, not one employee offered to help me. So by now, I was pissed! I called monks across the street to see if they would have accommodations for a party of ten. They were great and said come on over. My family got up and left. I then went to let the manager know that the damage was done and we were leaving. Her name was birdie and she was very sweet, but had absolutely no idea how to manage this place. Obviously who ever is in charge of training these employees needs to be replaced. Employees should be trained to acknowledge all guests and whether they have been helped and if they are happy. Birdie had NO idea how to handle such a situation. And the server should have never been assigned to a party of ten if she didn't know something as simple as split payments. The food was always overpriced and very mediocre. But I came back for the atmosphere. This was the last time I will ever go back there. And I fully intend to let everyone I know about this experience. I hope that management takes a very close look at how things being run and make the appropriate adjustments so that they don't lose another customer. Twice a year, with a bill that is usually $150.00 just for my small family. That's $300 a year they lost from me ( not including the other families I have taken there) may not sound like a lot until you lose 50-100 customers like me. All due to poor customer service. Best of luck Marleys . Monks was great! Took us right away, highchairs in place, manager walked by all tables to make sure guests were happy and our server Olivia was fantastic! Monks salvaged our night! Eat at monks! Not marleys!

Judging by the other reviews I was not looking forward to this place. My girlfriend and I had just gotten to our hotel and were looking for something nearby to get for dinner. We hadn't eaten all day, and there were only a couple of options (outside McDonalds and other fast food restaurants) so we picked what we thought was the lesser of two evils and checked out Marley's. We loved it. We both got the Jamaican jerk combos of pork and chicken with coconut rice. I don't know if it was because we were starving or what, but we both though it was great. Wonderful flavor in the jerk rub and sauce, the meat was all extremely tender, and the rice was delicious. Not sure about the rest of the food offerings, but if you're looking for some tasty Jamaican food, Marley's actually seems to come through really well. I was shocked. Didn't care about the bar/club angle to this place, but the food was great.

We had a fantastic dinner! Our waitress, "Cassie", was a jewel! Friendly, sweet, very prompt and such a cute thing, inside and out!!! This combination makes this visit fantastic!!! By the way, the food was awesome too!!

Went here on a whim, being adventurous for dinner that night. Our group of three waited a bit for a host but she never showed up so we grabbed our own table. The servers just looked at us as they walked by which was understandable since we never checked with a host. Finally I went to the bar to order some drinks (reasonable price for premium beers) and sat back down. After drinking our beers at a reasonable pace, we had to flag a server to get some menus and order. The server who was assigned to us had apologized for the host being absent and walking around giving us dirty looks. The server did everything he could to make us feel like customers at this point. He refilled our drinks and took our orders. The service from this guy was very very good. The food wasn't as good as thought. I ordered a jerk chicken sandwich meal for $10 I got a processed chicken breast smaller than a 5" bun and fries. The chicken breast was smaller than one from Culver's I had a few nights before... I cannot express how small and disgusted I was. Another ordered grouper which tasted awfully familiar to farmed perch... and not much like the grouper you receive from speciality restaurants. It was mediocre at best. Another order was coconut shrimp which was actually pretty good. Summary if it wasn't for our waiter service was not very good. The average food order was ok only because of the shrimp. If you go here you are basically paying for the atmosphere only, but if that's your thing then try it. I can only tell you that I will not be returning here again.

Oy vey. There is absolutely no reason to go to Marley's unless 1) You are part of a large, color-coordinated bachelorette party (in which case, I feel like going here is a Wisconsin Law) or 2) You want to get hammered, get hit on or get a migraine. My group of friends decided to hit up Marley's on Saturday night last week after eating at the Green Owl across the street. It was around 10pm and we weren't quite ready to call it a night. We walked by and saw their outdoor patio and thought, "Nightcap?" We had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into. Firstly, there was a $5 a cover just to get inside. Let me repeat: there was a cover. At The Dells. That alone should have been a red flag, but my group of young 30-something friends journeyed on. The inside was like one big cavernous, concrete warehouse party. The girls were hammered. The boys were perving. And the bathrooms were completely wet. It was pretty disgusting and yet also a fascinating subject for a Netflix documentary about this generation's mating patterns. The women/girls with fake IDs danced with reckless abandon in the center of the club, many toppling over in their Jersey Shore high heels. And the men all gathered around the perimeter, searching for wounded fawns. My friends and I stayed together, drank a couple Red Bull vodkas, got a quick bout of hearing damage and that's when the fog machine started up. NEVER have I seen such an intense fog machine...it was like Hollywood War Movie Prop level Fog Machine. You couldn't see the couple grinding up next to you, which was actually not the worst thing. After a drink, we decided to just stumble back to our hotel room and drink there where we could freely shit talk the debauchery and ridiculousness we had all just experienced...including my poor friend who somehow (while dancing) had a guy stick his finger in her mouth. WHAT? HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? You've been warned.

Not bad for the Dells! If you don't want cheese fries, cheese burgers, cheese pizza and more cheese for lunch or dinner...Marley's is a great option for something different but delicious. As a half Jamaican, I must admit, this is not "real" Jamaican food per se but they have tasty, grilled food that is cooked with Carribean Flair. The setting is festive and easy going. We ordered take out so I can't completely speak to the issue of service or what it is like to eat there. I imagine with larger groups present it could get loud. But afterall, it is the Dells.

Establishment is does not accommodate those with developmental disabilities. The manager uses the loosest interpretation of ADA laws possible in order to make a few bucks on french fries. Based on other reviews it looks like the health department should make a visit to Marley's because numerous folks have gotten ill or received bad food. If Marley's has good reviews they are probably paid.

We sat inside the restaurant because of the rainy day. Otherwise we would have sat outside on what looked to be a festive outdoor seating area. The inside seating was dreary and depressing. Not what we expected from the namesake. There was live music but it was awkward. Our food took an extremely long time and was cold when it arrived. The waited spoke with the manager who had the kitchen replace our order. The manager was flustered and not very pleasant. She seemed disinterested on overwhelmed with managing the place. Our new food arrived. We are. It was bland boring food with umbrellas to try and make it fun. I have had jerk chicken and what I ate there was not jerk chicken. No flavor. We left wanting more and will never go back. If you are in for a vacation go some place else. Trust me. It sounds fun but it is not.

We had an absolutely horrible experience here. After being told the atmosphere was fun, we made a reservation for a party of 10. When we arrived, we were seated immediately however had to wait almost ten minutes for someone to bring us a high chair. We tried asking several different employees but everyone walked past us. The service was terrible and after 45 minutes we didn't even have drinks on the table. We spoke to a manager who said that she would get things taken care of right away. After 15 minutes, still nothing. We left after that and decided to go to monks at the wilderness across the street where we received excellent service and had a great meal- and our server got $75 tip, over 20%, for being fantastic and taking care of us. The management staff was not experienced or properly trained to handle guest concerns, and as someone who has much experience in the restaurant industry, I would never hire a 23 year old in tiny khaki shorts to manage my restaurant. We really wanted to enjoy this place-- it just didn't happen! :(

Wow AVOID this place at ALL costs. They refuse to help out special need children. They refuse to accommodate special needs children. The manager/owner is very rude, and confrontational. Food is gross, the restaurant is dirty and filthy and it smells like do do.

Found out this place has been having multiple problems on social media, With a special needs child, the manager is seen in the video trying to defend herself but I want to say this. The Internet is an army, I hope you were prepared for the flood gates to open. If you have issues with special needs children, I think you should be forced to work with them for a day. Also when I come in to berate your presumably terrible food, can you make sure to rub your minimum wage hands all over it for me? That must be why your so bitter, also I'll post the link to the video here for all to watch. facebook.com/jaybeemulwa…

Food was excellent. Served us in a big group with no wait time. Prices were reasonable. Everyone in our 10+ group really enjoyed their food and drinks. 2 for 1 rum runners was a fantastic deal and the drinks were very good. I would've given 4 stars, however, I'm not impressed with managements poor planning on their Yelp coupon offer. They don't accept the 15% off from the app, that they posted, claiming that since the coupon wasn't "printed", it cannot be accepted. Does management even understand how Yelp works? How am I supposed to print an offer from Yelp that shows up on my cell phone telling me to simply "show coupon to owner or employee on screen". Not impressed with that at all.

This was my second time eating at this establishment... The first time was a phenomenal experience, excellent food, great atmosphere, etc... I enjoyed it so much that I insisted my friends try it this year own vacation. The service was rushed and not very friendly and when I showed them my 'check-in offer' they declined to honor it, and the server never even offered to let her manager see it. I think I'll just do my best to recreate these dishes on my own at home and try a new restaurant next time.

Hit up this place after our first choice for dinner had a ridiculous wait time. We could see open tables from the road so we figured why not, we're hungry. The outdoor seating area is nice although the PVC pipe chairs weren't very comfortable. They had live music and sandpits and chalk for the kids to play around with and thank goodness because my girls were hangry and needed distracting. Overall food wasn't bad. We had a sampler app that was ok but I would for sure recommend the gator bites. I'm not a huge fan of jerk but I got the jerk rasta burger and it was actually better than expected. In the end it seemed a bit pricey though for an app, two sandwiches, two beers and two kids meals for 85 bucks. If I could give 3 and a half stars I think I would. Good but short of great food, fun for kids (at least outside) and a nice patio area to grab a few drinks.

The food was overpriced and not very good. We sat and waited for a waiter to get just our drink order for over 15 mins... then it took a good while for us to even receive our drinks. After we received our food I asked the waiter for ketchup... after waiting for 10 minutes (was hoping to eat food while hot) I just grabbed ketchup from a nearby table after those guests had left. After all that I didn't even finish my food because it wasn't good and never received a refill the entire time I was there. I did like the music entertainment outside. They don't do much of a background on people though considering one of the singers had a ankle monitor on.

It is a great bar of you are looking for a bachelor party but the food is lacking. The waitstaff was excellent and attentive. The coconut rice they serve with everything is not very good and seems to be just a ploy.

Restaurant will not serve anyone requiring special needs - namely, won't allow children in who have G-tubes and are fed formula via the tube as they consider it "bringing food into their establishment". The female manager, of note, is of particular callousness and no heart. Incredibly sad and disgusted.

Terrible experience with this establishment and it seems like many people are having issues with racism and owners having prejudice against special needs children or those who are different. This place should be shut down or under new owners.

First time here, and it wasn't as good as its hyped out to be. The service was good and they waitress we had was very nice but the food... Ehhh its was Ok. I got the prime rib sandwhich and the jammin fries. It was Ok, nothing special though. My husband got the rum chicken, which he has to return because there was no flavor to it at all. He did end up getting the coconut shrimp which he said was amazing. Other then that, prolly wouldn't go here again...

Well we stopped at Marleys for dinner when we were staying at the Wilderness. Had the 2 4 1 drink special and it was watery. Very little cocanut. Dinner i had the combo jerk chicken and pulled pork. It was ok the chucken was dry without the jerk sauce not good. The pork was much better. I put some Jamaican ketchup on it and have to say much better its like a BBQ sause. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and realy liked it.

Went to Wisconsin Dells a couple months ago with some coworkers and their kids and we ended up coming here for dinner - we saw the patio and thought it'd be a fun place to be 'touristy' and have a good meal. Well, the food was definitely disappointing. I paid some 20$ for jerked shrimp and it came to my table in kinda watery sauce, overcooked rice and mushy vegetables. All that being said, it's tourist town and not exactly known for high quality food so I shouldn't have expected much. Should have just ordered pizza and some beer. I know for next time :)

Today marked our second visit to Marley's in as many years. We started out with their 2-4-1 drink special of the night which was some sort of Bahama Mama drink and was very tasty. I couldn't help but have the Jamaican Jerk combo with both pork and chicken and it was awesome. My wife had the grouper tacos. For both of the dishes the sauces stole the show. Their jerk sauce is superb and the ancho chili sauce on the tacos was amazing. Our friends that were with us had the jerk chicken salad which seemed very simple and light on the chicken and the surf and turf with some of the best crab legs they'd ever had. Portions were generous (other than the jerk chicken salad, which another reviewer also called out) and most flavorful. The kids had a great time in the super- kid-friendly atmosphere. So much so that we had to tell them the had to stop playing and eat their dinners. We'll definitely db back next time were in the Dells!
